Haslam - photo by Becci StubbsThis weekend the World Superbikes is coming to the new and improved Northamptonshire circuit, with a few of the riders looking to put their mark on the new track layout namely British riders such as Cal Crutchlow who has shown great speed and determination thorough out the series so far.

Also, Johnny Rea, who has been experiencing some problems with his Ten Kate machine but is looking to gleam in the British sunshine at the weekend.  Leon Haslam has had his taste of victory during the season and is looking to add to the trophy cabinet this weekend and Leon Camier, who is also starting to shine even though he has struggled with bike set up and chassis throughout the season.  Camier has always shown a strong force and is one to be reckoned with.  Max Biaggi is going to be a strong candidate for getting in amongst the British and reaking havoc, so far this season he has 9 race wins out of the 18 races and 13 podiums which is good going for the Roman Emperor.
Making a wild card appearance this weekend is HM Plant with their 2 riders Josh Brookes and Ryuichi Kiyonari .  Both are fired up to show the big boys that they are made of the strong stuff and ready for a battle.

The standings going into Silverstone.

In the World Supersport races Eugene Laverty is looking for a victory at Silverstone.  Even though he has won 5 out of the 9 races he is still not top of the table, as Kenan Sofuoglu has had a good turn of the times and been putting in some good race pace to come out on the top spot.

Valencia Gino Rea - photo by Becci StubbsGino Rea has also been doing exceptionally well amongst the factory boys, battling up the front and showing them he is capable of running with them and ready to take their podiums.

There are also Wild Cards for the Supersport and they are, James Westmoreland - Came Yamaha, Sam Lowes from GNS racing,  Billy Mc Connell - Came Yamaha, Christian Iddon - Parkalgar Honda, and Jenny Tinmouth on her Honda. It will be good to see Jenny fighting out amongst the World stage riders showing them she is the quickest woman round Silverstone.

Most of the Supersport Wildcards are all within places of each other in the British Championship, so I’m sure the battle shall be close and action packed. by Becci Stubbs Girlracer magazine
