Suzuki's 'Refreshed' V-Strom Print E-mail
Saturday, 02 July 2011 08:00

V-StromSuzuki have been drip feeding hints and blurry images of a supposed re-vamp of its competent tourer/commuter the 650cc V-Strom.

Now with something of a flooding accident their tech boffins, not a word they'lll have attached to them for the foreseeable future, leaked images of the new bike long enough for everyone to screen grab them, including us!

Unfortunately it seems to be a lot of hoopla for very little reward.  A little bit of sculpting here and there is about it, for those who where hoping for something to compete with the F800 GS, or Triumph Tiger, you'll be disappointed.

V-StromWhile no concrete or complete tech specs are available, the few details doing the rounds feature a smaller fuel tank, though the expected Gladius engine should prove a bit more economical to make up the difference.  Seat high is up a little to 835mm, more shorty discrimination, but over-all this is a style refresh of little substance which is a shame as V-Strom owners speak highly of their ride and it's long overdue for a few new tricks.  By Nick Moore
