Drive for Diversity’s Megan Reitenour grabbed her first pole of the season at Tri-County Motor Speedway in Hudson, N.C., Friday night, driving the No. 92 Leicht Motorsports Chevrolet. Reitenour finished fourth the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model event.

“We’ve been working hard to improve our qualifying each week,” said Reitenour. “The car was fast right off the trailer and were able to put together a good run tonight.”

Reitenour started the race fourth after the invert but was involved in a first lap incident that sent her to the tail end of the field. She was able to work her way back to the front, finishing fourth.

Reitenour is currently fifth in the Tri-County Motor Speedway Late Model points standings. www.girlracer.co.uk
