After a very successful premier of the NIGHT of the JUMPs on Russian ground in Penza in June 2011 the 2012 FIM Freestyle MX World Championship season 2012 will kick off in St. Petersburg in February 2012.

Last Friday the contract for the event in 2012 with an option for 2 more years have been signed. The NIGHT of the JUMPs will be held in the second largest indoor arena of Europe the Sportkomplex St. Petersburg. The biggest track of the 11th year long NIGHT of the JUMPs history will be designed there.

Frank Enders as the head of construction and R. Shemiunov from the local partner Pilot Events try to set up 5 landings. The final layout of the track will be affected by the local conditions everyone should have in mind that there are usually minus 20 degrees Celsius in St. Petersburg in February.

Frank Enders says: "We will be prepared for every eventuality - but you have to be flexible at this conditions."

By adding St. Petersburg to the NIGHT of the JUMPs tour calendar the FIM Freestyle MX World Championship will be even bigger and more prestigious. The complete schedule will be released after FIM congress in October 2011. With St. Petersburg, Torino and Berlin 3 major cities are already on the list and a lot of metropolises all over the world will follow.
