The first practice sessions for the 2010 Formula One season got underway today in the searing heat of the desert at the Bahrain International Circuit. Taking to the track in the new Silver Arrows cars, the MERCEDES GP PETRONAS pairing of Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher began their preparations for the first Grand Prix of the season.

Under the blazing sun at the Sakhir circuit the Mercedes with Niko Rosberg was the fastest car on the track during the second free practice session for the Bahrain Grand Prix in a time of 1.55.409, followed by McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton (1.55.854) and the other Mercedes with Michael Schumacher (1.55.903).
