| I am the first (and only)
racing driver in my family. There may be no history
of Motorsport in my family, but there is a passion for
it inside of me that has brought me to become a racing
driver. Motorsport has always inspired me, it has been
my dream to be able to experience and be a part of it.
I have been completely committed to making my dream
become reality and now that I am living my dream there
is no way I want it to stop.
After having a great season with Formula Woman in 2007,
I have stepped up a level this year to participate in
the 2008 Texaco Havoline Ginetta Championship.
The Texaco Havoline Ginetta Championship is the single
most popular one make racing series in Britain. The
Championship is a one make series with sealed Ford Zetec
1.8 litre engines, sealed gearboxes and differentials.
I have been able to continue in a sponsorship partnership
with my title sponsor KnowledgeCenter from last year.
There are 32 competitors (capped). I find the G20 brilliant
to drive and enjoy driving it immensely.
We're very lucky in this Championship because we will
be supporting the British GT and Formula 3 Championships.
We will get to race on tracks which are rarely open
to normal Championships. For example, we will be racing
on the Silverstone International Circuit and also the
Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit - which is only open
a few times a year. There are 10 rounds (10 tracks),
and 20 races which is considerably more than I raced
last year - more than double infact.
I am very excited to be part of this fantastic long-running
and well-known Championship. The Ginetta team have been
incredibly welcoming and helpful. I am optimistic that,
although I am less experienced than a lot of the competitors,
I will be able to challenge myself to find new limits.
I think it will take hard work and dedicated time in
the car to keep up with the field... but I am willing
to work to achieve my goals and will want to see a steady
progress in my performance throughout the season.
