After a long trip up to Peterborough, we arrived
mid-evening to find a display of fantasic cars and
smart stands already set up!
Friday night was more getting the tents and food
sorted out, whilst singing away to the tunes from
mobile disco’s hosted by different clubs!
Sometime around 4am the noise from the discos stopped
giving us a few hours kip before an early 7am start
to get the cars positioned, washed and waxed ready
for the day.
The crowds started to arrive, despite a light shower
it seemed like a good turnout for the Saturday.
Wandering around, you would find some of the best
examples of both modified cars and concourse standards,
from Nissan Figaros, to Honda NSX, the range of
cars present was immense! You name it, it was there.
Trade stands at the show ranged from the usual
big names such as Sumo Power and Toyo, to more specialised
like Gaugeplace offering a massive range of smart
gauges, pods etc for any use you could imagine.
Saturday afternoon saw a terrbile storm, with most
clubs out trying to hold their tents and gazebos
up! It was a funny picture! The weather cleared
up and everyone was out again an hour or so later
chamoising their cars sparkly clean again!
Saturday evening commenced with the barbeque, and
more from the Scoobycity VS S2000 discos. A spectacular
fireworks display saw the evening off nicely!
Sunday was mainly taking last minute photos and
meeting up with the normal show crew from GR! Bumps,
Kaytee, Mish, Milly, Stacey, Sarah ect....
Weekend was definately one to remember... Roll
on JAE 2007!!!
