It’s hard to believe that Donny 2005 was upon
us; it only seemed like yesterday that we were there.
We had been praying all week for good weather and we
were lucky it remained dry be it very cold.
The day started early as we set up the Girlracer
Stand and got all the cars in place. By 8am the place
was packed with the burble of Modified elegance. Much
respect goes out to the hardcore few who despite the
freezing temperatures still queued to fill their buckets
with cold water to clean their cars…
The doors opened at 9am and the public flooded in,
on both days the place was packed out making it a fantastic
atmosphere. The end of the first day we headed back
to a much welcomed hotel room and hot bath, except for
the hardcore few that went straight out and were clubbing
throughout the night… Respecta!!!
Overall the two day event was fantastic we got to see
some top motors, and meet some great people.I would
like to thank everyone who was on or visited the Girlracer
stand, it was great to see lots of new faces and some
old. Looking forward to next year’s event.
