Tell us more:
I started boarding in July 2002 because some friends
thought we could all go away on a Winter holiday together.
2 years later I'm a competitive freestyle boarder and
they're still holiday riders (you can read that as,
"I'm addicted and they just enjoy riding for fun!").
I entered my first competition after having boarded
for a year (4 months of freestyling) and have continued
to push myself ever since.
I come from a competitive sporting background (gymnastics
& figure skating) so entering boarding competitions
is really just a follow on from that. It also means
I get to board all year round even if it is only at
Tamworth Snowdome, the dry slope at Welwyn and anywhere
else that comps are held.
