Aquapac has signed an exclusive deal with Helly Hansen. The two brands will combine style and technology to integrate Aquapac’s 100% waterproof case into key pieces of Helly Hansen sailing gear. The Fjord Jacket is the first to feature the Aquapac pocket and will be launched at the London Boat Show 5 – 14 January 2007.

Created for variable weather performance, the new Helly Hansen Fjord Jacket for summer 07 features the Aquapac waterproof pocket on its sleeve. The Aquapac pocket will ensure sailors can use and store mobile phones and other electronic items, such as iPods and small cameras, in the wettest of conditions on water or land. Sound and signal pass right through the case material making hands free conversation possible when used with a blue tooth headset.

The Aquaclip® Sealing System is key to Aquapac’s waterproof technology – two light injection moulded plastic levers close the plastic case to create a totally airtight seal, and protect the pocket’s contents from external influences such as rain and sea spray.

Visitors to the London Boat Show will be able to see the new Fjord Jacket and other items from Helly Hansen’s 2007 collection on the Purple Marine stand N259, and demonstrations of Aquapac’s innovative waterproof cases on the Aquapac stand N252
