Lighten your legs.
 
If you suffer from heavy aching legs, which affect 50 per cent of women in the UK, here are three simple exercises to ease the strain away:

1. Flex your ankles. Sitting in a chair raise your legs and flex your toes towards you and then point them away. Repeat 15 to 20 times.

2 . Calf raises. Stand with feet slightly apart and raise yourself up on the balls of your feet. Repeat the raises 15 to 20 times.

3. March on the spot. Spend one minute marching on the spot and then give each leg a quick shake.
