The team at Girlracer know how difficult it is to break into extreme sports in a non-racer capacity, and we now embrace the fact that work experience is vital to students.
We are pleased to announce that we are now offering work experience placements within our company.
- Journalists
Journalists in the lifestyle, motorsport and extreme sports sectors are now required. You will be expected to submit at least 5 articles, news feeds or updates to the site per week, in the same style and quality currently presented in our news feed section.
- Event Reporters including Formula 1 Do you already attend snowboarding, skating, surfing, auto racing or other extreme sports events as a hobby and would be able to report on the event in a professional manner? If so, we need you! We may be able to assist in getting you a media pass for the event, in return for regular and comprehensive coverage both editorially and photographically
ALL positions are unpaid, however, if the opportunity comes along for free tickets to events etc you will be favoured.

- What does Girlracer look for in an application for work experience?
This depends on which placement you apply for, but in the main we are looking for evidence of your passion and knowledge of the area. All applicants must be educated to high standard, literate and be able to communicate effectively.
- What happens to my application after I submit it?
Once you have submitted your CV and example piece of reporting, your application will be reviewed by the Work Experience team.
- How long will it take for a decision to be made on my application?
You will receive notification from the Work Experience team within 5 days, to inform you if you have been successful. Unfortunately, due to volume of applicants we do not contact those that have not been successful.
- My school is doing a work experience week and I would like to come to Girlracer. Is this possible?
We do not accept work experience placements from schools unless at or above A level standard.
- Can I apply for work experience if I am an overseas applicant?
As an overseas applicant, you are welcome to apply. We encourage overseas applicants as Girlracer is an international company, with coverage from Europe to USA. All placements are work from home so email will be the method of communication and work submission.
- Can I apply for work experience if I have already worked for Girlracer?
The aim of work experience is to introduce people from outside the company. For this reason, if you are currently a member of Girlracer staff, unfortunately you won't be eligible to apply for a work experience placement in another department.
