This whizz kid from Norway has been shredding the slopes of Kongsberg from the age of 4, introduced to the sport of snowboarding because her Mum thought it would be a fun way to spend sometime together.

12 years on 16 year old Silje Norendal has come along way spending her winters in Geilo at the Norwegain Snowboarding academy and her summers back home or chasing the snow in the Southern Hemisphere.

Silje has had some great results to date and these are just a few to name for the past 2 years Silje won every discipline in the Norwegian Snowboarding championships, she also won the European Open junior events in Halfpipe defending her title for 2 years in a row at the young age of 13 and 14. Last year she stepped up her game to compete with the big girls in the Open category at the BEO competing against people ranging from 18 to 30 she finished in 7th place in the slopestyle event.

Silje is an exceptional rider with great style and passion for snowboarding, I met her 2 years ago on the first ever Roxy camp. She has been riding for Roxy for 4 years now and is one of the select few riders on the Roxy future team.

This year Silje plans to progress as much as possible whilst having fun and pushing her boundaries competing in high level events, having just competed in the 6* TTR Roxy Chicken Jam finishing in the top 10, Silje is now heading to Laax Switzerland for the European Open, and later on in the month Canada for the Canadian Open.
