British Cycling have had to change the girl age groups because of increasing numbers of girlracers into BMX racing. As the highest placed 13 year old girl in last year’s 13-15 age group, British Cycling have given Izzy the coveted #1 plate in the all new 13-14 girl race class. No pressure then! Racing with the #1 plate, Izzy started 2010 by competing in the prestigious ‘Pride of Essex’ event last weekend on 3rd January. With 131 riders at the event at Braintree, Izzy beat all the boys to win the F2 class. She is pictured leading into the first turn and chilling out in the van! Izzy’s next major event is the International Indoor meeting at Kortrijk in Belgium at the end of the month. She then follows this with a week of snowboarding in Austria. Happy New Year and success to all from Girlracer and BMX! www.girlracer.co.uk
