Girlracer’s Izzy Ferrada has just finished a busy week! No BMX racing…just receiving Awards! No training either…..Izzy deserves the rest!

On Tuesday 1st December, Izzy was a finalist in the prestigious Pride in MK Young Achiever Awards.

Then on to the SportMK Achiever Awards on Friday 4th December, where Izzy was presented with her Achiever of the Month Award by British Long Jump Record Holder and 2009 World Championship Finalist (5th place) Greg Rutherford and also by the Mayor of Milton Keynes, Councillor Euan Henderson.

Why these Awards?

Winner of the 2009 East Anglia…Midlands…South West BMX Racing Championships. 2nd in the 2009 British Championships…only beaten by a girl two years older. Then…that brilliant win in Round 13 of the European BMX Racing Series. If you visit Izzy’s website at Izzyferrada.com  and click on the link on the first page…you will see how she did it! Difficult to believe she is still only 13!
