Cyndee began drag racing in 2000. Her first race truck was her daily commute vehicle, a 4 cylinder Chevy S10. She spent the first year racing in the local street legal races, while in her garage, she was tearing down and rebuilding a v6 engine to put into a second S10, which tore up the tracks until a connecting rod broke taking out the engine block in mid-2008. She promptly went to work in her garage, transferring what she’d learned over the last 8 years into a larger v8 engine, which is powering the race truck today.

She does all of her own work on the transmission and engine, and also handles the suspension and rear-end. She takes engine machining lab classes as well as regular automotive classes to hone her skills with the mechanical aspect of racing.

Current Season: The current racing season has been a challenge due in part to the economy, and to a few issues with converting the motor’s fuel system to alcohol. Cyndee continues to take it in stride and chalk it up to more lessons learned on how to build and keep a racing program going. 

Racing Goals: Future goals include racing in the West Coast Pro Gas Association races, and Pacific Street Car Association Races.

Personal: Cyndee is married and lives with her husband in Colfax, CA. She is a software test engineer for Sage Software, and is currently working on an Administration of Justice degree at Sierra College in Rocklin, CA.
