Rebecca Woods photo by BillabongStylish natural footer REBECCA WOODS at only 25 has a list of achievements that reads like that of a seasoned professional.

Bec won an Australian Junior Title at 16 and went on to become the World Junior Champion at 18. Being a two time Professional Junior series champion in 2002 and 2004, it was only a matter of time before Bec would be incepted into the women's elite world professional tour and as a young 19 year old her dream of surfing amongst the world's best came true. Bec has since spent the last five years in the top 10 of her sport, with a career high of sixth and finished in ninth position in 2009. With two new events on tour which suit Bec's style, 2010 is going to be a big year for this exciting young female athlete.

Being a dedicated advocate for the progression of female surfing Bec has appeared on many avenues of media.

Rebecca Woods photo by GrambeauBec also has a quick wit and charismatic, good humour that has seen her invited to commentate at numberous professional events and many radio and television appearances including movie exposure in AKA Girl Surfer, Fuel TV, The Daily Habit and MTV. 

Bec also understands the importance of life after surfing and is currently studying a Bachelor of Business externally from Southern Cross University. She also finished high school in the top seven percentile of her state, showing a high level of focus and commitment in anything she participates. Bec was also an Ambassador for International day for People with a Disability in 2007 and has a sister with a disability who is the driving force behind her motivation for the top. She also has an avid interest in writing and photography and enjoys documenting her many travel adventures.

Travelling the world has certainly opened Bec's eyes to the many endless possibilities at her feet and with 9 World Tour events in 2010 she is excited to explode out of the blocks.
