My name is Cierra Lawson.  I am not your average 11-year-old girl. I am a competitive kart racer.

I started racing at the Ohio Valley Karting Association (O.V.K.A.) in the Kid Kart class (50cc) in 2005, when I was 7 years old. For the past 3 years I have ran the Sportsman Yamaha (100cc) class at the O.V.K.A. I am only one of three girls who race in my class. I finished 11th in 2007, and 2008. For the season of 2009 I finished 7th. In addition I raced 1 year in 2007 in the Great Lakes Sprint Series (G.L.S.S.), a divisional level racing series that travels to 5 different tracks, across the Midwest.

I have been fortunate to have made many friends through out racing and I have had the pleasure of meeting many racing celebrities such as Sarah Fischer, John Andretti, Dan Weldon and Ricky Rudd. I have also participated in The Race for Riley, which is a charity race used to raise funding for the Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

I am a 6th grader at Eaton Middle School. My current GPA is 3.0. In the off-season of racing I play for the Dayton Metro traveling basketball team. In my spare time I like to draw, read and play racing games.

My goal is to place 1st in 2010, and one day make my name in NASCAR.

I am truly blessed to have a family that supports and tries to finance my racing hobby.
