Name : Jessica Walker Address : San Ramon, CA
Jessica Walker is the driver for Roy Walker of Walker Racing in North Carolina in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series Late Model at Tri-County Motor Speedway in Hudson, NC.
She started out racing Quarter Midgets in Livermore, CA back in 2001. Racing at a club, regional, state and national level for 6 years gave Jessica the opportunity to develop her driving skills. Throughout her Quarter Midget career, Jessica had numerous wins and top 5 finishes. She also had 3 track records at Tri-Valley QMA in Livermore, CA. Jessica had a very impressive career also taking home a Sr. Sportsman of the Year award and a championship.
In 2007, Jessica made the move up to the Legends of the Pacific Series in California. She learned a lot the first season and applied it to the successful 2008 season. She wrapped up 3 wins and many top 5 finishes ending up 4th in points and becoming the Legends of the Pacific Most Improved Driver in 2008. The 2009 season was full of mishaps. Ill-handling race cars, accidents, and ignition failures prevented Jessica from having the finishes she would have liked. She did manage to win a trophy dash and heat race but came up short when competing for that main event win. Engine problems caused Jessica to miss a race and she missed another because she was really sick. Jessica finished 7th overall in points and 4th in the Pro division.
After the 2009 Legends of the Pacific season was over, Jessica was contacted by Roy Walker, owner of Walker Racing, in North Carolina and was asked if she would be interested in testing in an ISCARS Dash Touring Series car, formerly the NASCAR Goody's Dash Series, and she accepted. Jessica and her dad flew to Raleigh, NC to test at Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, NC on Halloween Weekend. She did very well during the test and was allowed to race the car that Saturday. She finished in the top 10 in both races and was invited back on November 14 to race at the famous Hickory Motor Speedway and finished in the top 10 another 2 times. She was asked to be the driver for the 2010 season.
